What FARO does

FARO helps nonprofits put money directly into people's hands. We provide the technology and the program administration for delivering financial aid on restricted prepaid Visa cards, so an organization that needs to get funds to people quickly does not have to build a card program from scratch.

It took nine months to build this with a bank: approval, compliance, controls, test cards, funding flows. We did that once. Organizations working with us inherit it, and you still complete your own bank due diligence, including identity checks on the people who control your organization.

What it costs

We charge $10 for a physical card and $7.50 for a virtual one. Reloads are free for the card's two-year life. There is no set-up fee, no monthly fee, no transaction fee, no minimum, no dormancy fee and no unload fee.

The money is always yours. Taking it off a card costs nothing. We are writing the return into the agreement. Cards carry no fees for the person holding them: no monthly fee, no inactivity fee, no ATM fee, no foreign exchange fee.

We are a nonprofit. We charge what the card costs us and nothing else.
